چکیده

Oxide scale formation during short-term annealing and electrolytic pickling behavior of ferritic EN 1.4622 austenitic 1.4828 stainless steels are investigated. The is performed at temperatures between 1000 1100 °C for 1200 steel grade under humid atmospheres in simulated industrial process. Neutral pickling, also referred to as neutral electrochemical or the Ruthner Neolyte Process, Na2SO4 electrolyte, efficiency evaluated visually by image analysis pickled surfaces. results show that conditions have a more impactful effect on structure composition resulting oxide within studied condition range. thicknesses scales mainly less than 0.4 μm, while almost all thicker it. In addition, amount silicon inside matrix grades highly different. Longer exposure times higher promote growth annealing, inefficient grade. For grade, surfaces still covered with after pickling.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Cold Rolled AISI 304L and 316L Austenitic Stainless Steels during Reversion Annealing

Microstructural evolutions during annealing of cold rolled AISI 304L and AISI 316L stainless steels were studied. Cold rolled AISI 304L alloy was fully martensitic but cold rolled AISI 316L alloy was partially martensitic due to the higher stability of the austenite phase in the latter. During continuous heating to elevated temperatures, the complete reversion of strain-induced martensite at 75...

construction and validation of the translation teacher competency test and the scale of students’ perceptions of translation teachers

the major purpose of this study was to develop the translation teacher competency test (ttct) and examine its construct and predictive validity. the present study was conducted in two phases: a qualitative phase as well as a quantitative phase. in the first phase of the study, the author attempted to find out the major areas of competency required for an academic translation teacher. the second...

Formation of annealing twins during recrystallization and grain growth in 304L austenitic stainless steel

Understanding of the mechanisms of annealing twin formation is fundamental for grain boundary engineering. In this work, the formation of annealing twins in a 304L austenitic stainless steel is examined in relation to the thermo-mechanical history. The behavior of annealing twins of various morphologies is analyzed using an in-situ annealing device and EBSD. The results confirm that there is a ...
